Delegates attending the Victorian Rural Health Conference in Bendigo on Saturday 14 May are encouraged not to miss the relaunch of Dr JuMP, rural and regional Victoria’s only medical mentoring program.
The re-launch will feature an interactive and thought-provoking 1-hour panel discussion, Who will be running your practice in 10 years? How medical mentoring fits into your rural practice’s succession planning.
The panel discussion will run from 11am-12 noon and involve current registrars in rural practice and rural GPs including Dr Phil Steele, Border Regional Training Hub and Dr Suzanne Harrison, RDAV Board Member.
The Dr Jump organisers will also be engaging delegates to grow the number of rural GPs to mentor the projected 130 mentees, either currently in the program or joining throughout 2022.
The relaunch of Dr Jump also marks the start of a year-long series of regional networking events that aim to bring the Program’s mentees and mentors together to connect trainees with attractive rural and regional career opportunities options throughout Victoria.
