MCCC GP Training strives to offer quality medical education and training to equip GPs with the best skills to serve our communities for the future.  If you have a special interest in a clinical area of practice, our Extended Skills Program offers GP registrars the opportunity to pursue these areas of special interest and build or extend procedural skills that are vital to General Practice, especially in rural areas.  These training posts are offered in a variety of training and learning settings, including GP practices, hospitals and Aboriginal health services.

What’s the application process?

  • Use the drop down menu below to identify available positions specific to each skill and view the position description on the health service website if linked
  • Contact the REAPS in your region and complete the Extended Skills Post Application form to advise MCCC of your interest
  • Once you been deemed eligible for an extended skill position by your REAPS, contact the post directly to apply for the role.

Please note: Application opening and closing dates for 2021 Extended Skills positions vary depending on the post and the information below will be updated when available. In the interim, if you would like further information about the process, please contact your MCCC REAPS Coordinator.
