The Yarrawonga Medical Clinic is a welcoming, fully accredited rural practice offering a wide range of clinical services. We have a very experienced procedural GP, Dr Clyde Ronan who is the Practice Principal. We currently have 5 doctors working in the practice plus an intern from the M2M training program. There are 4 MCCC Supervisors in the practice so support and clinical advice is easy to access. The Yarrawonga Medical Clinic has two Division 1 nurses on each day to support you in treating patients with acute and chronic conditions. The reception staff are very good and can help you through the complexities of billings and practice organisation.
Every registrar who has worked and studied with us has achieved their Fellowship status. We are an active teaching practice. We teach interns through the M2M program and of course registrars through MCCC.
The Yarrawonga Medical Clinic is a purpose built clinic, often described as excellent or better and is adjacent to the hospital and aged care facilities and very close to the main street.
We have visiting specialists covering paediatrics, general surgery, urology, geriatrics, gynaecology and orthopaedics. There is also a visiting physician, Plus diabetes and mental health support. These services are currently working under a different model due to the global pandemic but we are working hard to ensure our patients are still receiving excellent care.
Yarrawonga is the centre of catchment population of 10,000 and is on the border of NSW and Victoria. We are near Albury, Wangaratta and Shepparton. The weather is mild in winter and we enjoy a long warm Summer. We don’t do bad weather. The main attractions are the largest golf course in the Southern Hemisphere (45 holes), a large lake suitable for swimming and all water sports. There are good schools to Year 12. There is also a well developed aerodrome. Of course with border closures we are constrained!
