The Murray River, which meanders through Swan Hill, is lined with a number of parks including Riverside Park on Monash Drive which has picnic areas and a playground. One of the most popular tourist attractions in town is the Pioneer Settlement which recreates the atmosphere of a pioneer river port town and offers paddle steamer cruises along the Murray River aboard the restored P.S. Pyap, built in 1896.
Swan Hill has a variety of festivals held through the year such as Harmony Day, food and wine festivals, Food Truck festival, the June long weekend races, as well as the Heartbeat of the Murray Laser show. There are great options for food and wine, with the region producing grapes and fresh vegetables for both domestic and export markets.
The town has great schools and great education destination. In 2018, St Mary Mackillop College Swan Hill had six Year 12 students who made it into medical school. We have a great friendly approach among the team and strive to bring joy to the workplace. See our video below.
