What do GP Registrar’s say about their experience with our team?

“I was fortunate to have spent my 6 months of diversity training at the Shepparton Medical Clinic. From the day I first walked through the doors of the clinic, I have felt inspired by the strong work ethics and dedication of the general practitioners. I particularly enjoy the weekly teaching sessions, academic meetings and ad hoc discussions of clinical cases in the corridor with my supervisors. Being a University of Melbourne teaching clinic, there is also ample opportunity to teach medical students in the clinic, and this certainly helps reinforce my knowledge and preparing me for exams.

Workplace culture is just as important to an organisation as it is to its individual staff members. There is a strong focus on teamwork and cohesion within the clinic. Everyone is always ready to help each other out. It is also not all work and no play. The clinic pays attention to the welfare of all staff by organising games and trivia sessions at lunchtime. And who can ever forget about cake Fridays!

Ultimately you get what you put in. I am sure you will find a placement at Shepparton Medical Centre enjoyable and rewarding if you make yourself feel part of the team. ”
