Adjunct Associate Professor Ewa Piejko MBBS FRACGP
Dr Ewa Piejko trained at the University of Melbourne. She undertook her general practice training in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Dr Piejko has completed a diploma of obstetrics and gynaecology.
In addition to General Practice, Ewa also works in training junior doctors to become GPs. She has recently been appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor for the Monash University Rural Medical School.
Ewa has an interest in all aspects of general practice.
Dr Adel Asaid MBBCH FRACGP OAM
Dr Adel Asaid graduated medicine in Cairo, Egypt at Ainshams University in 1982. He moved to Australia in 1988, and lived in Melbourne until 1991. He started work at the Bendigo Hospital and stayed there for over 12 years. Dr Asaid joined the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1998, and trained in Eaglehawk then Dimboola. It was there that his love with rural settings and country life began.
This led Dr Asaid to establish his first rural clinic in Elmore in 1999. Two years later St Anthony Family Medical Practice Pty Ltd opened a clinic in Boort, followed by Rochester, Heathcote, Strathfieldsaye, Rushworth and Spring Gully.
Dr Asaid has a special interests in training new Doctors to maintain rural services, aged care, travel vaccinations and family medicine
Dr Aun Teeng Ritchie (Kat) MBBS FRACGP
Dr Kat Ritchie grew up in Malaysia where she lived with her family until she was seventeen. After two years of college in Singapore, she proceeded to complete her medical degree at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Ritchie moved to Bendigo to work in 2009, and found it such a great town that she decided to stay and has settled here with her husband and young child. Dr Ritchie is particularly interested in Women’s Health (including Mirena and other contraceptive measures).
Dr Remon Eskandar MBBCH AMC FRACGP
Dr Remon Eskandar graduated in 2006, and since then has worked in various hospitals both overseas and in Australia including The Austin Hospital, Monash Medical Centre and Bendigo Hospital. Before joining our team, he worked at the Bendigo Hospital for three years in emergency, paediatrics, psychiatry, oncology and other departments. He has a vast experience in mental health and diabetic disease. He has a special interest in Rheumatology and other auto-immune diseases. He has gained Post Graduate training in skin and travel medicine.
