PPM is built on a small team which includes exceptional General Practitioners with private, public, community health, metro, regional, and international experience.
PPM is located at the premises of the Royal Melbourne Hospital – in the heart of an international hub, the Parkville medical and scientific precinct. PPM operates in a very busy hub which includes Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute, Peter Doherty, University of Melbourne, Royal Women’s Hospital, and we are adjacent to the Walter Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI). In addition to providing comprehensive GP care, PPM is closely linked to the Department of General Practice, University of Melbourne, we are actively engaged in quality improvement projects with other specialty areas within the precinct, and we provide a broad range of staff vaccinations for large local institutions.
Central to the philosophy of PPM is to be an active participant in teaching, training and research. This is reflected in our staffing with a number of GPs having completed multiple postgraduate qualifications, as well as GPs who are actively pursuing PhD qualifications, and engaged in ongoing teaching.
PPM is committed to safety: safe practice, patient safety, safe workforce, and cultural safety. For us, cultural safety includes respect for and support of diversity: ATSI, cultural, gender, LGBQTI, linguistic.
