Hospital Street Doctors is locally owned and operated, just opposite Wodonga Hospital.

We support our registrars with formalised teaching and on site supervision at all times. Our GPs have a great interest and passion for teaching and supporting the next generation of doctors. Amongst our senior doctors we have college examiners and Medical student examiners

We are very fortunate to have 2 highly skilled Div 1 nurses, one of which is a Midwife. They have specialised qualifications in wound management, immunisations and women’s health. Their skills cover health promotion, chronic disease management and care coordination ,emergency medicine, intensive care, mental health , child health and aged care

We provide a range of services including

Assessment by experienced, qualified General Practitioners and Registered Nurses
Caring for people of all ages- paediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric care
Immediate treatment or advice for acute medical and surgical emergencies at all times
Treatment for disorders of mental health, such as counselling, medication and referral to specialist treatment
Women’s health issues, Men’s health issues and family planning
Skin checks and treatment for solar damage and skin cancers, with medications, freeze therapy (cryotherapy) or surgical removal
Specialist referral to a wide range of expert consultants
Child and Adult Health Checks
Chronic Disease and Complex care Management
Smoking Cessation- QUIT Program, assistance with drug and alcohol dependence
Immunisations including child “catch up” and High School vaccinations
Diabetes support and education
Plaster/back slabs
Minor surgical procedures ,wound review and dressings

Training Expectations
Practice opening hours Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 6.00 pm Saturday and Sunday 10.00am to 1.00 pm
College Requirements Full time training requires 38 hrs per week employed averaged over 4 weeks. Less than 38 hours per week employed is part time training.
