Northern District Community Health Medical Clinic
The Northern District Community Health Medical Clinic (NDCH) is a purpose built GP Clinic with ten consulting rooms and three treatment rooms. The GPs are supported by a team of Practice Nurses, Medical Receptionists and a Practice Coordinator.
The clinic has been a teaching practice for many years with both GP registrar training and Monash medical students. The clinic also has the services of a Nurse Practitioner to offer patients Women’s Health & Cervical Screening apart from normal practitioner services.

|Allied health professionals||Access to all Allied Health. Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Diabetes Educator, Dietitian, Occupational Therapist. Counselling staff also available.|
Experienced Practice Nurses are rostered daily at the clinic.
Nurses support procedural services : Ecg, Spirometry, Vaccination and Immunisation, Venesections, Ear wash, Suturing, Plastering, Dressings and Wound management.
The clinic offers two fully stocked treatment rooms for Punch Biopsy and Excisions with Nurse Attendance.
Nurses are also rostered to support and initiate Chronic Disease Management Assessments (>75Yr Health Assessments and 45-49Yr Assessments)
Our nurses are also competent with the My Aged-Care Referral System and assist with electronically Uploading My Health records.
Immunisations / Vaccinations are provided by qualified Immunisation Nursing Staff.

|College Requirements||Full time training requires 38 hrs per week employed averaged over 4 weeks. Less than 38 hours per week employed is part time training.|
|Evening roster||The clinic does not have an evening roster. (Participation with Kerang District Health On-call Roster would require some evening hours (the frequency of this roster is negotiated by each individual doctor)|
|Saturday and Sunday work||The clinic is not open on weekends.|
|On-call work||Kerang District Health offers doctors from the clinic to be part of an on-call roster as well as credentialing them as Visiting Medical Officers for clinic patients requiring admission.|
Out of practice visits
Kerang has Aged Care facilities; patients taking up residence at the aged-care facility can continue seeing doctors from the clinic for on going medical care. (Scheduled Visiting rounds- Generally on a weekly frequency)
Public holiday work
The clinic is not open on Public Holidays.

NDCH operates throughout the Gannawarra Shire and the Northern end of the Loddon Shire, as well as some of our services extending into the Swan Hill and Buloke Shires. We also fund services into the Shire of Campaspe and Bendigo.
Our main office is located in Kerang and is a 3 hour drive from Melbourne.
