East Keilor Clinic is a progressive, fully computerized family medical practice providing care to individuals and families in East Keilor and the surrounding area. We focus on being a family friendly supportive practice providing caring and excellent patient care. Dr Lewi the principal of the practice, has been practicing in the local community for over 50 years and is very well supported by 4 other doctors. Several of our doctors have also gone through the training program so have a very good idea of the requirements of the training program and exams. All of our doctors, support and assist the registrars in a supportive learning environment.
The practice was purpose built in 1967 and has been remodeled several times, the most recent in 2012. The recent renovations updated the patient areas, reception and included an additional two consulting rooms, one which is being used for a dedicated pathology collection area by Melbourne Pathology.
The practice is fully accredited with an independant body (AGPAL) and has achieved accrediation against the Australian Standards for General Practice Edition 4. Accreditation status is reviewed on a regular basis and our practice is constantly striving to improve our service and processes.
The Practice is open Monday to Friday 8.30-6.30pm and Saturday mornings 9am-12pm. We are closed on Public Holidays.There is no commitment for after hours on call for any of our doctors.
Melbourne Pathology is open Monday to Friday 8:30am – 1:00pm
East Keilor Clinic offers a wide range of services including shared ante-natal care, childhood immunisations, travel vaccination advice, employment medicals, simple surgical procedures, diabetes management, pap smears, adolescent health and mental health, aged care, counselling and comprehensive multidisciplinary management of chronic disease, on site pathology, care plans and health assessments, acupuncture and spinal manipulation. Our nurses can assist in many areas of the practice and work Monday to Friday.
All the doctors in the practice have satisfied the training requirements of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (RACGP) and are passionate about supporting the next generation of General Practitioners. The clinic also supervises medical students from Melbourne University.
