Innerspace is a part of community health organisation cohealth. Innerspace is a primary care service designed to deliver care to the community of people who inject drugs.

This service delivers treatment for opioid use disorder including the prescribing of Methadone and Suboxone and the administration of long-acting injectable buprenorphine.
The service works from an ideological framework of harm minimisation and so we regularly educate patients on improving safety of substance use, including being active in programs such as the take home naloxone program.  Our service is a holistic health care service and we are experienced in dealing with general health care needs as well as presentations more related to injecting drug use, such as the investigation and treatment of hepatitis C.

Our model of care revolves around an interdisciplinary approach with AOD counsellors, pharmacotherapy coordinators, community development workers, hepatitis C nurses and community health nurses available onsite.
