Botanical Gardens Health is dedicated to providing personalised, professional and quality services across a wide range of medical and support services.  We have a team of dedicated and friendly staff and Practice Nurses and we provide the services of 14 General Practitioners (GP’s), including three Registrars, a visiting Urologist and visiting Cardiologist.

Botanical Gardens Health is a medical clinic nestled in the foot hills of Castlemaine Health, near the beautiful Botanical Gardens and a short drive from the popular Mt Alexander. Easily approached by road, train and bus, it’s an easy drive on the freeway, one and a half hours from Melbourne, and only a half hour drive from Bendigo.

We are open the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 9.00am to 1pm, along with our normal operating hours of Monday – Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (except for public holidays). The GPs at Botanical Gardens Health participate in an after hours on-call roster together with the other 2 clinics in Castlemaine.

Botanical Gardens Health was established in 2005 following an amalgamation of two Castlemaine Medical Clinics. Some of our doctors have been providing medical services to the Mount Alexander Shire district for over 30 years.

We are committed to promoting health, well-being, and disease prevention to all clients, and where possible take an active role in the general community. We provide access to quality resources for both clients and staff, and under-go quality improvements through recognised Practice Accreditation every 3 years. We are committed to the delivery of timely medical care with the most up-to-date equipment possible.

Some of our GPs are adjunct lecturers in conjunction with Monash University, providing teaching and training to the next generation of doctors.

We hope this will ensure continuity of quality medical care for the Mount Alexander Shire region in the future.
