Practice Experience Program (PEP)

RACGP Practice Experience Pathway Program (PEP) in partnership with MCCC

MCCC are pleased to be supporting the RACGP in the delivery of the Practice Experience Program (PEP).

The PEP program is a self-directed education program designed to support non-vocationally registered (non-VR) doctors on their journey to RACGP Fellowship.

Standard Stream

Allocation of places will be informed by factors including practice location and years of Australian general practice experience (GPE). Please note the program is designed for Doctors working in MMM2 to MMM7 areas. Applications are now open for April 2020 intake and close 18 October 2019.

Specialist Stream

From 1 September 2019, the PEP Specialist Stream will replace the Specialist Recognition Program (SRP). After this date, the RACGP will no longer award Fellowship ad eudum gradum. SIMGs working towards Fellowship on the PEP Specialist Stream will be issued a PEP 3GA provider number by the RACGP.

Applications are open now for the Specialist Stream commencing in January 2020.

From 2022 onwards, it will be compulsory for all doctors to complete an RACGP approved program in order to be eligible to sit the RACGP exams.
