Bendigo & District Aboriginal Co-operative (BDAC)
Awarded the 2019 Victorian GP Practice of the year by the RACGP, Bendigo & District Aboriginal Co-operative (BDAC) provides medical care for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within Dja Dja Wurrung lands but also to the wider community. Bendigo has a population of around 120,000, with surrounding communities taking it up to around 170,000 people.
The GPs at BDAC provide a broad range of services including family medicine, antenatal shared care services, contraceptive counselling, skin checks and chronic disease management.
Bendigo is the second largest regional city in Victoria, next to Geelong and offers all the sporting, art and culture, leisure and food and wine activities you could wish for.
The world-renowned Bendigo Art Gallery hosts international exhibitions, exclusive to Bendigo. Discover Chinese culture at the Golden Dragon Museum, go underground at the Central Deborah Gold Mine, try wheel throwing at the Bendigo Pottery or see the best of the city from a vintage tram.
