Extended Skills and Special Interest Posts

MCCC GP Training strives to offer quality medical education and training to equip GPs with the best skills to serve our communities for the future.  Our Extended Skills Program offers GP registrars the opportunity to pursue areas of special interest and build or extend procedural skills that are vital to General Practice, especially in rural areas.  These training posts are offered in a variety of training and learning settings, including GP practices, hospitals and Aboriginal health services.

What’s the application process?

Many health services offer Extended Skills Terms (generally six to 12 months) and special interest posts for GP registrars.

This page will be updated when applications are open. In the interim, if you would like further information about the process, please contact your MCCC REAPS Coordinator.
