Prior to applying for the AGPT, you will need to decide whether to train towards a Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Both Fellowships will allow you to work as a vocationally-registered GP anywhere in Australia.
Choosing which Fellowship to work towards is a very personal choice that only you can make. It is important that you look into the program structure, curriculum and exams. In some cases, registrars choose to train towards both Fellowships.

RACGP and ACRRM overview
In the AGPT program, training takes place in a combination of hospital and general practice settings. The structure of the AGPT training program depends on your fellowship choice.
