The registrar placement process, formerly known as practice match, places a registrar into a general practice for a given term. These registrars are training towards their GP fellowship.
The process considers the registrars’ training requirements and their personal preferences, as well as the practices’ training capacity and preferences.
It must also meet the needs and requirements of the AGPT program, the Department of Health and the two training colleges, RACGP and ACRRM.
Detailed information about the Registrar Placement process is available here.
