Mandatory hospital rotations
MCCC will ask all shortlisted applicants to provide evidence of their core rotations and additional rotations which demonstrate your breadth of experience.
- Those who wish to commence in general practice in 2019, to ensure they can be placed in the practice match
- Applicants intending to stay in the hospital, to ensure they will have the correct rotations and time, when they are ready to commence the following year
- Applicants wishing to undertake an extended skill or a special skill, also need to ensure they have the necessary requirements for the following year.
Applicants must request Statements of Service (SOS) from the hospitals where they undertook these rotations
IMPORTANT: If you are hoping to be matched to a practice in 2019 you will need to request Statements of Service (SOS) from your hospital/s asap as they can take up to six weeks to obtain.
These are signed letters from your hospital/s. These SOS detail the start and end dates of the rotations you have undertaken. They should contain the total number of weeks in the rotation and all leave taken. These will be required to determine if you are ‘practice ready’ before we are able to place you in to a practice match.
If you require rotations yet to be undertaken to be considered for ‘practice readiness’ please include these in the SOS, as future rotations. Statements of proposed rotations up to February 2019 will be accepted, but will need to be verified once the rotations have taken place.
